I will never forget the sunflower fields near Hay Springs, Nebraska over Labor Day 2019. It was the first time I’d seen my Uncle Kenny and Cousins Kevin and Julie in almost 10 years. I love them dearly. Uncle Kenny is going to have heart surgery this month. He’s 83 years old. Good thing he’s in great shape. A farmer through-and-through. Hopefully it will restore some of his pep and he won’t feel so tired after walking from the street to the front door of Kevin’s house. He says that feels like running a quarter-mile right now. Please keep my Uncle Kenny in your thoughts, prayers, and good vibes in the coming days. I’d like to go visit him for many years to come…
Content Rating PG, for the most part
I try to keep the content of my posts in the PG range (meaning that maybe your 13-year-old should not read it... Just kidding!) - you know, something I could get away with tastefully in the town square without getting lynched, tarred-and-feathered, or hung (and something my mother would NOT wash my mouth out with soap for). As far as what age you have to be to understand some of the subtleties of my humor in writing and/or speaking, well... That may vary. A lot.
