Sooo…my second attempt at taping my thumb and wrist for climbing was much more refined and took much less tape than my first iteration. I present to you Version 2.0 of the “thumb spika tape splint”!
This tape job didn’t take near as long or near as much tape, and worked just as well. The key is to keep the thumb angle as to prevent further injury or re-injury to the healing ligament. I got to put my anatomy and physiology and my physics knowledge to work here! See? College was worth it!
