Noom. It’s an app and a program to help a person get in shape and lose weight for their health. It involves coaches and a peer group and cognitive behavioral therapy techniques to help the person change how they think about eating and activity in order to aid in the process of changing their behaviors in these areas of life. I’m going to try it out for 14 days and see how I like it. If it’s useful enough, I might go ahead and go for the full-blown program and pay $140 every four months. Big “if”. That’s a lot of money for me. I’m going to really have to be impressed with this program and the concepts and coaching to commit to that kind of fee. I got my $10 trial started today and spent about 10 minutes getting the whole thing set up. That’s about how long it’s supposed to take to go through each day’s training. I’m sure there will be other things that I will be asked to do in order to adopt this different lifestyle, but 10 minutes to do the training every day sounds reasonable. That’s time that can be set aside without interfering with anything major. Lifestyle changes are overhauls and tend to be all-encompassing in many areas of life, so I expect things to get turned upside-down somewhat, anyway. We’ll see how this goes. Updates pending…
Content Rating PG, for the most part
I try to keep the content of my posts in the PG range (meaning that maybe your 13-year-old should not read it... Just kidding!) - you know, something I could get away with tastefully in the town square without getting lynched, tarred-and-feathered, or hung (and something my mother would NOT wash my mouth out with soap for). As far as what age you have to be to understand some of the subtleties of my humor in writing and/or speaking, well... That may vary. A lot.
