The last full moon of the decade

Today, I drove my friend four hours away to meet up with her family so that she could make it to her mother-in-law’s funeral in Utah. We had a great time along the way. On the way back, I was driving solo and noticed that the place we had met up with the rest of her family at was beautiful — it had mountain ranges on all sides! As I drove, I got to see the snow-capped mountains turn purple with the sunset, and even more fantastic than that was watching the last full moon of the decade rise in its huge, yellow-orange glow. It was quite a sight, and I thanked God that I was able to see all of that today. Now I’m at my mom’s house and in my pajamas, ready for a good, long night of rest. Good night!
