I’m sitting here with my iPad Mini blogging at the climbing gym this afternoon. The gym just opened. On Mondays, it doesn’t open until 1600 hrs. I’m checking it out to see how busy it is in the afternoon because they have an after school program and I don’t do well with crowds, especially kid crowds. So far, it seems pretty calm compared to what I thought it would be, which is utter chaos. I can hear myself think and might do a bit of writing to plan out my novel for NaNoWriMo in November.
Ah, yes, you’re wondering what NaNoWriMo is. November is National Novel Writing Month, and the idea of NaNoWriMo is to write a 50,000-word novel in 30 days (the 30 days of November). I tried it last year and only ended up with 26,000 words. It works out to roughly 1200 words per day if you want to make 50,000 words in 30 days. I know a little more about it now that I’ve attempted it once, and I hope to make a 50,000-word first draft of something worthy of being revised and edited this year. So that’s what NaNoWriMo is.
Anyway, the climbing gym is still fairly quiet, so I may write or I may climb some. I’m leaning pretty hard toward climbing, but I’m still not over this bug of mine and I’m afraid of wearing myself out beyond recovery. I’m definitely climbing tomorrow morning!
