Over the past two days, the members of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints have heard counsel and instruction from the leadership of the Church during the 189th Annual General Conference. President Russel M. Nelson, the Prophet is turning 95 years old very soon. All 15 of the prophets, seers, and revelators are in their 70’s, 80’s, and 90’s. It’s interesting to hear from these men, and listen to their messages. None of them are given a topic to speak on, but instead choose their own through much prayer and the guidance of the Holy Spirit. This works for them and the talks given always seem to have one or two central themes. This year, the theme was definitely Jesus Christ. I was glad. The focus seemed to be where it should be. The talks will soon be available, if they’re not already, at http://www.churchofjesuschrist.org and are worth a listen.
Content Rating PG, for the most part
I try to keep the content of my posts in the PG range (meaning that maybe your 13-year-old should not read it... Just kidding!) - you know, something I could get away with tastefully in the town square without getting lynched, tarred-and-feathered, or hung (and something my mother would NOT wash my mouth out with soap for). As far as what age you have to be to understand some of the subtleties of my humor in writing and/or speaking, well... That may vary. A lot.
