Rehab traversing: back to climbing!

I packed my bag and walked out of the house with my crag pack slung over my shoulder this morning.  Yes, the one with my chalk, harness, and climbing shoes in it.  I put it in the back of my silver 2018 Ford F-150 V8 SuperCrew truck and drove over to the climbing gym listening to “Gravedigger” by Dave Matthews on his album “Some Devil” on CD.  I parked in my usual spot, got my bag out, and walked with confidence into the climbing gym.  I was greeted by McKenzie, who told me that Brian and Emily were there.  I went and said hello to them after I was finished listening to McKenzie’s harrowing account of her first winter camping trip to Laramie with Taylor.  Sean came in and I talked to him for a few minutes, too, then proceeded upstairs to Boulderland after I went back out to my truck to get my phone tripod.

I opened my pack, donned my new La Sportiva Solutions (Men’s 39 EU), and set up my phone on the tripod to record my mock rehab traverses.  Unfortunately, it got quite busy shortly after I decided to begin my rehab traverse, but I did get a decent video, all things considered.  My climbing shoes did not leave the mat, but I lightly weighted my hands to exercise my grip and mobility by traversing with my hands.  I stepped as if I had my feet on holds on the wall, and bent my knees at times to simulate actually being on the wall in order to give my rehab traverse some teeth.  It felt great to be back on the wall!
