Well, my iPhone 7S got bad enough today that I bit the bullet and went to Verizon to see about a new phone. They were out of the iPhone XS Max phones, but had a silver 256 GB iPhone XS in-store; I went with that. It actually took a few cents off my monthly bill to go that route. I got the bundle deal for the accessories and it ended up costing $120 and trading in my old phone (what would I do with it anyway?).
The new iPhone has facial recognition, which is interesting, to say the least. I do not really understand how it works, but I am going to see if someone else can unlock my phone by just looking at it to make sure that it is indeed working. I almost prefer just the passcode instead of the facial recognition feature at the moment. Maybe I will gain confidence in th facial recognition lock. We will see. I traded up in memory and down in screen size. That is okay with me. I do not need a huge phone to carry around. I need a phone that works! That is what my old phone was not doing so well…
So we will see how this new phone works out… I am sure it will be fine. Right now, I have it charging and downloading everything from iCloud. Hopefully all of my contacts transfer to my new phone. That is my main concern. I have a lot of contacts in my phone that I do not have anywhere else. I should probably remedy that with a pen and paper soon. It is only at times like these that one thinks of such things!
