I couldn’t stand it any longer… I had to climb!!! And these are my new Lowa Rocket climbing shoes that I tried out today. Fit my foot shape perfectly and had a fantastic fit right out of the box. Made in Czechoslovakia, they’re unlined leather with a nice thick Vibram XS Grip sole, which is very satisfyingly sticky. The rand is plenty thick as well, and they can be resoled. They are a slipper-style shoe with a Velcro strap at the opening for secure adjustment. Slip lasted with a slingshot rand, they are very aggressive and pleasantly sensitive in the heel for superb heel hooks. I wear a size 7.5 Men’s US in my street shoe and these are the same size as my street shoes. As you can probably tell, with the amount of rubber on the toe, they are ideal for bouldering and sport climbing, although not uncomfortable to wear for over an hour at a time. Big plus! These are my new favorite climbing shoes!
Content Rating PG, for the most part
I try to keep the content of my posts in the PG range (meaning that maybe your 13-year-old should not read it... Just kidding!) - you know, something I could get away with tastefully in the town square without getting lynched, tarred-and-feathered, or hung (and something my mother would NOT wash my mouth out with soap for). As far as what age you have to be to understand some of the subtleties of my humor in writing and/or speaking, well... That may vary. A lot.
