One of my most trusted friends suggested this morning that, instead of not taking any of my arthritis medication at all, maybe I could take half the dose and see if the effects were a relief of any sort and perhaps the swelling in my lower extremities would be less or absent altogether. Brilliant! Fortunately, the tablets can be split and half the dose is an option I have not yet explored. I’m going to run the idea by my doctor first, but it seems like it would be well worth trying!!! This is me speaking from a position of much pain. I get frustrated with the edema, and then I’m reminded of the pain when I go off the medication because of it… The cycle is a vicious one! I’m definitely up for trying half the dose if it will arrest this pain and not cause so much swelling. My hope would be that I wouldn’t have any swelling at all. That would be ideal! I need to be able to climb!!!
Content Rating PG, for the most part
I try to keep the content of my posts in the PG range (meaning that maybe your 13-year-old should not read it... Just kidding!) - you know, something I could get away with tastefully in the town square without getting lynched, tarred-and-feathered, or hung (and something my mother would NOT wash my mouth out with soap for). As far as what age you have to be to understand some of the subtleties of my humor in writing and/or speaking, well... That may vary. A lot.
