Taking into consideration some advice and suggestions given by some climbing buddies and mentors, I adjusted my pyramid method diagram to suit the foundational aspect of climbing better. I emphasize the foundation work because, like footwork, it will eventually lead you to be able to climb better and at higher grades if you pay attention to it. The photo accompanying this post shows my revised diagram and the grades that I would like to be focusing on each month during 2018. Although it ends with my climbing 5.10d instead of 5.11a, it may yet get me to climbing 5.11a before the end of 2018 because I may progress faster as I lose more weight and am able to move better. We’ll find out!
Content Rating PG, for the most part
I try to keep the content of my posts in the PG range (meaning that maybe your 13-year-old should not read it... Just kidding!) - you know, something I could get away with tastefully in the town square without getting lynched, tarred-and-feathered, or hung (and something my mother would NOT wash my mouth out with soap for). As far as what age you have to be to understand some of the subtleties of my humor in writing and/or speaking, well... That may vary. A lot.
