I usually do better with route setting if I can play around with some ideas for the wall ahead of time. The walls weren’t up yet at the new climbing gym, though. What to do? Well, there was a concept video from the website that showed the walls and a tour of the building…and that would include, yes, the bouldering walls on the main floor. Since the video was put together by the manufacturers of the walls, the walls, of all things, should be accurate, right? Even if they aren’t, I have something to go off of because I compared the walls that were up to the ones in the video and they were accurate. I sketched a left side and a right side view of the walls in my climbing log, as seen in the photo above. Tomorrow, I can start playing around with some routes to put on those walls on my iPad Pro!
Content Rating PG, for the most part
I try to keep the content of my posts in the PG range (meaning that maybe your 13-year-old should not read it... Just kidding!) - you know, something I could get away with tastefully in the town square without getting lynched, tarred-and-feathered, or hung (and something my mother would NOT wash my mouth out with soap for). As far as what age you have to be to understand some of the subtleties of my humor in writing and/or speaking, well... That may vary. A lot.
