I was planning on going to Bozeman’s climbing gym to get some harness time in on the ropes and get some different style ideas from the routes there. Right now, at 0536 hrs in the morning (almost an hour after waking), I’m tired. Really tired. Bozeman is a two-hour drive from Billings, and they probably got snow up around Bozeman these last few days due to the temperature/precipitation mix we’ve had in Montana. I don’t know if I’m up for driving in the snow this morning. I DO, HOWEVER, WANT TO GO CLIMBING!!! Climbing is a powerful driving force in my life. I guess, if I get too tired, I can pull off at a town or a rest area and sleep for a bit until I’m able to continue driving. I’ve done that before. I actually had to do that the first day I met Lou and Leon at Spire! I had gotten to Columbus and was barely able to keep my eyes open, so I stopped at the truck stop there and took an hour nap! Safety first, and then everything else. Being a road casualty due to falling asleep at the wheel isn’t worth it to me. If it’s a preventable danger, everything possible should be done to guard against it! Getting in a vehicle accident on the Interstate would definitely put an unnecessary crimp in my climbing lifestyle! Well, I’m going to make some coffee and get my climbing gear together (mainly my regular climbing backpack and my new harness). Let’s see how it goes!!!
Content Rating PG, for the most part
I try to keep the content of my posts in the PG range (meaning that maybe your 13-year-old should not read it... Just kidding!) - you know, something I could get away with tastefully in the town square without getting lynched, tarred-and-feathered, or hung (and something my mother would NOT wash my mouth out with soap for). As far as what age you have to be to understand some of the subtleties of my humor in writing and/or speaking, well... That may vary. A lot.
