My day seems stacked against me. Any day that starts out with the dentist seems that way. I don’t really know of anyone, and have never met anyone, who likes the dentist. They’re surely necessary, of course, but I don’t know of anyone who is fond of them! I would say that’s a pity if they didn’t charge so much and if they were covered by insurance of some affordable sort. So it’s not a pity that nobody likes them. Nonetheless, I need my teeth cleaned. I don’t have the funds right now for the x-rays, so I’m going to decline those, I think. They are very expensive, as is everything at the dentist’s office. With what they charge for even a cleaning, I think that x-rays should be free! If you’re a dentist reading this, you’re laughing at me right now, but package deals have their place, especially for us poor folk. It would surely bring dentists more cavity, crown, filling, cap, and sealant business, not to mention root canals… They should consider the free x-rays.
Next, after the dentist, is the VA to get fitted for some compression stockings. My doctor wants me to try them to see if they’ll help with the swelling in my ankles. There’s a tad bit in the non-injured ankle, and much more in the injured ankle. We’ll see how this goes. I’m not a fan of compression stockings. They’re uncomfortable and not at all padded like my Darn Tough socks that I wear. That, and the fact that they go up to your knees!!! I’m more interested in fixing the swelling at the source (i.e. what’s causing it). So far, the line-up for my day seems dismal.
Then, out of the sheer grace of God, comes a climbing session with Mack to finish out my day! At least my day will end on a good note! I love climbing so much!!! This training has already been yielding results for me, and it’s only been a week and a half! This will be my fourth training session with Mack. I think this is going to work out great! I’ll have to find out what kind of beer he likes and get him some as compensation or something. Must climb!!!
